Features: This book is suitable for undergraduate students of traditional Chinese medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, and other related majors in higher TCM institutions across the country, as well as for adult education students, self-study examination candidates, and professionals and enthusiasts in the field of traditional Chinese medicine. This series of teaching materials was jointly compiled by organic chemistry experts and professors from 19 higher medical institutions in China, including Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine, Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine, and Hubei University of Chinese Medicine, based on the teaching requirements of the Ministry of Education for organic chemistry courses in pharmaceutical and traditional Chinese medicine programs. It is one of the series textbooks for traditional Chinese medicine and pharmaceutical sciences, including Organic Chemistry, Solutions and Reference Answers for Organic Chemistry, and Experiments in Organic Chemistry. The book is divided into two parts in terms of content arrangement: the first part focuses on fundamental concepts of organic chemistry, emphasizing basic theoretical knowledge; the second part introduces various types of compounds according to functional groups, highlighting their nomenclature, structure, typical organic reactions, and reaction mechanisms. This book highlights the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine, using examples from traditional Chinese medicine in the illustrations of various organic compounds, and includes representative individual compounds corresponding to each functional group in the chapters. Additionally, the content of chapters closely related to professional courses such as pharmaceutical chemistry, processing, preparation, identification of traditional Chinese medicine, and pharmacology of traditional Chinese medicine has been strengthened. The textbook also emphasizes the application of stereochemistry, molecular orbital theory, and resonance theory in modern organic chemistry, and provides a certain introduction to amino acids and proteins. Another feature of this book is that the exercises and reference answers are compiled in the set Solutions and Reference Answers for Organic Chemistry. It also introduces comprehensive graduation exams for undergraduate students and postgraduate entrance exams from participating institutions in recent years, along with reference answers, to train students' comprehensive abilities.
