Publish Date: 2003-04-01
Features: The book is rich in content, comprehensive, and detailed, with certain distinctive features. The second volume of this book includes a CD-ROM titled "Structural Mechanics Solver" for computer-aided analysis and calculation in the Windows environment, which can analyze and compute almost all structural mechanics problems in the book. This book is the second edition of "Structural Mechanics" (for five-year programs) compiled by the Structural Mechanics Teaching and Research Group of Tsinghua University, edited by Long Yujiu and Bao Shihua. The second edition deepens the content and broadens the scope of knowledge, making it suitable as a textbook for five-year programs in civil engineering, water conservancy, and road and bridge engineering, as well as a reference book for other professional students, graduate students, teachers, and related engineering technicians. The book consists of thirteen chapters, divided into two volumes. The first volume discusses the basic calculation methods for statically determinate and indeterminate structures, including: Introduction and Construction Analysis, Analysis of Statically Determinate Structures, Influence Lines of Statically Determinate Structures, Calculation of Structural Displacements, Method of Forces, Displacement Method, Approximate Methods, and Computational Schemes and Methods for Structures, totaling eight chapters. The second edition broadens the scope and adds some distinctive methods to meet the needs of various disciplines and deeper studies. The second volume discusses energy methods, matrix methods, and several special topics in structural analysis, including: Energy Principles, Structural Matrix Analysis (with plane frame calculation programs and flowcharts), Dynamic Calculation of Structures, Stability Calculation of Structures, Plastic Analysis of Structures, and Limit Load, totaling five chapters. The second edition has undergone significant revisions and updates.
