The book is based on the training objectives and specifications of adult higher education, fully considering the characteristics of adult education, strengthening mechanics concepts, weakening the subject system, and highlighting engineering applications. It integrates and permeates the content of the original Theoretical Mechanics and Mechanics of Materials courses to form a new mechanics curriculum system, in order to reduce teaching hours and improve teaching efficiency. The book is divided into three parts: Part 1 Static Analysis; Part 2 Design and Analysis of Rod Members; Part 3 Dynamic Analysis. To facilitate self-study, each chapter begins with a learning guide, ends with a summary, and includes appropriate review questions, which highlight the key and essential content of the chapter for readers. This book serves as a textbook for undergraduate civil engineering and mechanical engineering majors in adult higher education, television universities, workers' universities, and self-examination, and can also be referenced by other professionals and relevant engineering technicians.
