Features: This book is a planned teaching material for higher vocational and technical colleges under the Ministry of Education. It was organized and written according to the newly formulated Basic Requirements for Teaching of Electrical and Electronic Technology Courses in Higher Vocational and Technical Education issued by the Ministry of Education. In terms of writing and content selection, the book focuses on the following characteristics:
1. In line with the requirement of higher vocational and technical education to cultivate applied technical talents for production, management, service, and construction at the frontline, the book emphasizes the combination of theoretical instruction and practical training, highlighting application-oriented and practical aspects. The theoretical instruction focuses on basic concepts and basic analytical methods, with practical applications. Practical training covers basic components, basic skills, and basic real-world applications, incorporating both theory and methods. This organically integrates theoretical teaching with practical training, aligning with the characteristics of non-electrical electrical and electronic technology while striving for ease of learning and application.
2. In terms of content organization, the book not only emphasizes systematicity but also prioritizes selecting and organizing content based on knowledge and competency points. According to these points, the corresponding basic knowledge, basic skills, and related knowledge are organized into teaching units based on their inherent logical connections. Each unit not only meets the basic teaching requirements but also incorporates the essential content specified by the Ministry of Education's Basic Requirements for Engineering Specialty Electrical (Electronic) Internship Teaching (trial implementation in 1994), jointly forming an applied competency development system. Through teaching guidance, practical training, and self-study, students receive preliminary engineer training.
3. The book pays special attention to practical and foundational content, featuring numerous examples and carefully selected exercises throughout to help students consolidate, improve, and broaden their understanding. The book is divided into two main parts: Electrical Technology and Electronic Technology, each accounting for 75% and 45% of the total study hours, respectively. The main content of Electrical Technology includes DC circuits, AC circuits, basic concepts of magnetic circuits, basic electrical components and their applications, electrical measurement technology, electrical instruments, tools, low-voltage electrical appliances, and safe electrical use. The Electronic Technology section primarily covers basic electronic components, basic electronic circuits, amplifiers, voltage regulators, basic digital circuits, electronic measurement technology, commonly used electronic testing equipment, and an introduction to new technologies. This book can serve as teaching material for higher vocational and technical colleges, adult education, and evening classes at the same level of specialized education with corresponding study hours.
