Features: This book is a planned teaching material for higher vocational and community colleges under the Ministry of Education. It was written based on the "Basic Requirements for Physics Curriculum in Higher Vocational and Community College Education." During the writing process, we paid attention to the following points in accordance with the characteristics of higher vocational and community college teaching:
(1) Adhering to the principle of "coordination of three education systems," the textbook meets the needs of physics teaching in higher vocational and community colleges and adult higher education (associate degree level);
(2) Reflecting the teaching principle of "aiming at application, with necessity and sufficiency as the standard";
(3) Building upon the physics knowledge acquired in high school. Content already covered in high school is generally not repeated in this book, but new material is introduced directly based on that foundation;
(4) Emphasizing the practical application of theoretical knowledge rather than pursuing a complete system of the physics discipline;
(5) Conducting teaching discussions in the context of practical applications and providing an appropriate introduction to the physical foundations of modern technology;
(6) Enhancing the modernization of teaching content by introducing some modern physics knowledge and applications;
(7) Focusing on quality-oriented education. Physics serves as both a foundation for students in higher vocational, community college, and adult higher education to study subsequent courses and an important aspect of quality-oriented education. The textbook should reflect the cultivation of students' scientific thinking, scientific methods, and scientific spirit;
(8) Some content in this book exceeds the basic requirements, but it holds significance in modernizing teaching content and broadening students' knowledge. Therefore, it is printed in small print for optional use by teachers or self-study by students.
