Features: Professor Zhu Dexi (1920-1992) was a renowned linguist in contemporary China. He made outstanding contributions to grammatical research, ancient Chinese script studies, and language teaching, enjoying a high reputation both domestically and internationally. His passing is a great loss to the field of linguistics in China. Systematically organizing his posthumous works, summarizing his academic achievements and scholarly experiences, holds significant importance for the development of linguistics in China. For this purpose, we have compiled this collection. The collection includes four of Professor Zhu's monographs and over ninety papers, organized into five volumes based on content. Volume I consists of three grammatical monographs, Volume II and Volume III are collections of grammatical papers, Volume IV includes monographs and papers on language teaching, and Volume V contains papers on ancient Chinese script. The manuscripts included in this collection were proofread and edited by members of the editorial team, primarily to correct printing errors, though the formatting conventions are not entirely uniform. The sixth chapter "Punctuation" of the book Guidelines for Writing is repetitive with the paper "Usage of Punctuation Symbols" included in this collection and is therefore omitted, as it was written in an earlier period and is no longer fully applicable to the current rules of punctuation. Additionally, some examples in Guidelines for Writing have been adjusted. Several articles in Volume IV originally bore titles such as "Critique and Revision of Articles" or "Commentary on Writing," which have been newly titled based on the different articles reviewed for distinction. No other changes have been made to the content. For some works, the authors later revised the content or titles, and this collection generally follows the latest revisions.
