During the compilation process, we strive to guide ourselves with Marxism, Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, and Deng Xiaoping Theory, based on the current Criminal Procedure Law of China, closely linking with the actual judicial practice of our country to correctly explain the basic principles, concepts, and knowledge of criminal procedure law. The book emphasizes the ideological, scientific, systematic, practical, and relatively stable content, ensuring a scientific level that adapts to the development of criminal procedure law. This book is the textbook for undergraduate law students and teachers. The book is divided into three parts. Part one is the introduction, mainly introducing the basic knowledge of criminal procedure law and the historical development of criminal procedure law. Part two is the general theory, including the purpose of formulating the Criminal Procedure Law, the subjects of criminal procedure, basic principles, as well as specific systems such as jurisdiction, recusal, defense, representation, coercive measures, evidence, and civil litigation in criminal cases. Part three is the specific theory, also known as the procedural theory, which provides detailed explanations for each stage of the procedure, such as filing a case, investigation, prosecution, trial, death penalty review, trial supervision, and execution. Additionally, detailed introductions are given to some special procedures, such as the criminal procedure for cases involving minors, foreign-related criminal procedure, and criminal compensation procedure.
