Features: The Poems of the Experts is a must-read for young children's early education in the past, primarily selecting works by Tang and Song Dynasty poets. The poems selected in this book strive for simplicity in content and ease in annotations. To facilitate reading and comprehension for young people, the original poems are even translated into colloquial Chinese, though this may seem like overkill. In terms of format, older editions only selected quatrains and regulated verses. This book also primarily focuses on quatrains and regulated verses but includes a few classic five-and-seven-character ancient poems passed down through generations, aiming to let readers enjoy excellent poetry. In terms of time span, while primarily centered on the Tang and Song Dynasties, some outstanding works from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties have also been added. Each poem in this book is paired with an illustration, using images to interpret the poetry, which can also be considered a pictorial version of A Thousand Poems. The tradition of pairing Chinese poetry with illustrations has long existed. The beauty of poetry complements the elegance of paintings. For young readers, seeing illustrations while reading poetry will undoubtedly be even more delightful. To make it easier for young readers to use, we have designed index markers in the upper right corner of each illustration. Three markers require young readers to memorize and verbally describe the meaning of the poem; two markers require them to read the poem fluently and understand its meaning; and one marker requires them to accurately recognize the characters.
