Features: J. Concone was born in Dole in 1810 and died in Dole in 1861. He was the organist of the Royal Chapel in Dole and later moved to Paris, where he enjoyed the highest honor as a vocal teacher until 1848. After composing his opera The Intermezzo of Saint Michael, he abandoned the idea of writing further operas. His melodic arias, romances, and short duets were perfectly crafted, which brought him a well-known status. However, what made him most famous were his unparalleled Solfeggi, which he called lessons, exercises, or vocal warm-ups. These works should be attributed to his deep knowledge of the technique of "beautiful singing." His compositions remain highly valuable and outstanding vocal exercises to this day. To make this version perfect, the author employed various methods—appropriately adding expressive and phrasing marks, supplementing and refining, changing breath marks in some places, and carefully revising the entire work overall.
