Features: The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is a standardized test established by the Japan Foundation and the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services. It assesses proficiency in Japanese in three areas: vocabulary, reading comprehension, grammar, and listening. Since vocabulary is the foundation of language, it is self-evident that mastering Japanese vocabulary plays a crucial role in the JLPT. Based on the "JLPT Test Content Specifications" set by the Japanese side, which includes over 10,000 vocabulary items, this book incorporates the authors' extensive teaching experience and the needs of Chinese learners of Japanese. Each word is accompanied by necessary annotations, and examples are provided for many of the most frequently used words to illustrate their usage. In terms of layout, the book is designed for ease of use:
(1) Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, 4) are used before each word to indicate the test level requirements. Additionally, for the convenience of Chinese master's degree candidates preparing for the exam, based on the requirements of the 2001 revised master's degree examination syllabus formulated by the China Education Examination Center, candidates should also master the vocabulary that is not marked with level requirements.
(2) In the appendix, tables are provided to include:
① A "List of Common Japanese Colloquial Expressions," with concise "usage examples" to explain their application;
② A "List of Common Japanese Kanji," including comparisons with Chinese characters and their pronunciations.
Regarding the vocabulary and the colloquial expressions and kanji in the appendix, Level 1 candidates should also master the requirements of Levels 2, 3, and 4, and similarly, Level 2 and Level 3 candidates should master the requirements of the levels below them.
