Features: As the new century approaches, the trend of nostalgia is gradually fading. However, Old Photos continues to be published with great enthusiasm. There are two reasons for this. First, the purpose of Old Photos is not merely "nostalgia" but also "renewal." In the submissions, we often discover fresh insights and even revelations about historical figures and events. The unknowns hidden in history, much like the mysteries of the future world, are endless. Second, "nostalgia" is one of humanity's basic emotions. It exists neither because of the end of a century nor because of the beginning of a new one. However, nostalgia comes in many forms. Some people enjoy reminiscing about romantic and poetic moments, while others cherish the allure of a lavish lifestyle. Frankly, Old Photos has no interest in such trivialities. Photos can better preserve the truth of history, thanks to their irreplaceable, unalterable, and independent voice. Unfortunately, when narrating history, the independent voice of photos is often not given the respect it deserves. Even in books that heavily use photos, they are merely used as supporting evidence for historical conclusions or illustrations for certain historical concepts. Old Photos aims to change this by placing photos at the center of attention, allowing them to speak for themselves. Sometimes, the messages and meanings conveyed by photos go far beyond simple historical conclusions. Only by acknowledging and listening to the voice of photos can history truly come alive.
