Features: The Jingdezhen Porcelain Records is a porcelain specialty written by Lan Pu, a resident of Jingdezhen during the Qianlong and Jiaqing reigns of the Qing Dynasty, and later compiled and supplemented by his disciple Zheng Tinggui. The original book is divided into ten volumes, including Illustrations of Pottery and Porcelain, The Imperial Kiln Factory, Ceramic Affairs, and Studies on the Kilns of Jingdezhen Through the Ages. It provides detailed records of the seventeen crafts and eighteen workshops involved in Jingdezhen's ceramic production, lists the formulas for various glazes, and offers extensive information on the origins and quality of porcelain clay, glazes, and blue pigment. Additionally, it introduces the kilns of Jingdezhen from the Tang and Song dynasties to the Ming and Qing periods, compiling records of documents related to Jingdezhen since the Tang and Song dynasties. This edition presents a (picture-text integrated) version, with annotations by Mr. Lian Kun to the original text, selecting over two hundred porcelain images to better interpret the original work.
