Features: Sustainable development is relative to unsustainable development. We now advocate sustainable development, which indicates that we have been on an unsustainable path in the past. It should be said that sustainable development originates from recognizing and understanding the unsustainable nature of past development, in order to truly grasp why the concept of sustainable development was proposed and what it entails. Unsustainable past development has caused catastrophic changes to Earth, humanity's home, making the planet we rely on for survival unfamiliar. What was Earth originally like? How has it been invaded and destroyed? How have these invasions and destructions, in turn, affected human development, leading to unsustainability? These are the topics discussed in this book.
