Features: The primary purpose of compiling the Atlas of Imaging Diagnosis of Abdominal Diseases is to reflect the latest advancements in abdominal imaging diagnosis through illustrations, introduce domestic and international experiences in abdominal imaging examinations and diagnoses, particularly the author's own experience in applying imaging techniques to diagnose abdominal diseases. It is hoped that this book will assist clinical physicians in medical imaging and related disciplines in understanding the scope of abdominal imaging diagnosis, major imaging examination methods for abdominal diseases, key imaging findings, and essential diagnostic points in a visual, quick, simple, and concise manner; as well as evaluating the value and limitations of imaging diagnosis. It is believed that this atlas will also hold certain reference value for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students in clinical medicine and medical imaging.
The atlas covers several aspects of abdominal imaging diagnosis, including the abdominal wall, peritoneal cavity and retroperitoneal space, gastrointestinal tract, liver, biliary system, pancreas, spleen, and adrenal glands, as well as the urinary and reproductive systems, and major blood vessels and lymphatic systems, comprising a total of 18 chapters. The ultrasound section of the atlas was overseen by Yuan Chaoxin, the deputy chief technician; the nuclear medicine content was reviewed by Professor Mo Tingshu; valuable cases and images in the gastrointestinal chapters were provided by Professor Yang Kaiyu before his passing; cases and images related to uterine cavity contrast in the female reproductive system were provided by Professor Zhou Shiyin; and all images in the atlas were captured and produced by Ms. Yi Fengqiong and Mr. Hu Tingshun, to whom we extend our sincere gratitude.
During the compilation process, every effort was made to reflect and cite the latest developments in this field, utilizing the available resources. Most cases and images in the atlas were selected from West China Hospital, Sichuan University. However, due to limitations in knowledge, equipment, and experience, the atlas may inevitably contain shortcomings or even errors. We sincerely hope that readers will kindly point out any corrections.
