Features: This textbook is designed for use in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) programs at higher TCM colleges and universities across China. In terms of content, the core of this textbook focuses on fundamental theories, knowledge, and skills, which are grounded in the mature aspects of TCM academic development while incorporating new content such as constitution and zang-fu organ pathogenesis to maintain the systematic and comprehensive nature of TCM basic theory. The extended part covers the current status and trends of the discipline, emphasizing appropriate introductions on scientific research approaches and methods (printed in small print) to help students understand the forefront of discipline development.
In terms of form, the textbook also incorporates new findings from research on teaching materials both domestically and internationally. Each chapter, in addition to the main text, includes sections such as 【Content Summary】, 【Key Terms】, 【Summary】, 【Review and Reflection Questions】, 【Literature Excerpts】, and 【Main References】 to facilitate student learning and reference.
To cultivate students' innovative awareness, thinking, and ability, we strive to integrate the unique research methods of TCM, particularly its thinking methods, into the textbook content. This enables students to learn and master the scientific research methods and thinking methods of TCM.
