Features: Jonathan is a strange seagull who is unwilling to be a seagull that snatches small fish, shrimp, and breadcrumbs on the beach. He believes that the meaning of life is not just about filling one's belly. He wants to pursue higher life goals, even if he is driven out. He thinks the purpose of life is to seek perfection and make it a reality. He strives to give full play to his own nature and break through his own limits, wanting to fly to any place he wants to go. In the end, he transcends time and space, no longer having any limitations, and finally reaches a state of freedom. But his mission is not yet complete. His greatest joy is to show this true state to other seagulls.
Author Richard Bach, a pilot, writer, and minstrel. After publishing Jonathan Livingston Seagull in the 1970s, he became famous overnight and was hailed as the "messenger sent from the sky," reminding us not to give up. His works possess a vast imaginative space. He is accustomed to using symbolism to write novels, interpreting ideals through fiction, and inspiring generations to pursue the realm of perfection, to give full play to their own nature, and to transcend their own limitations. The free-flying seagull Jonathan represents humanity's deepest dreams, strongest motivation, and most yearning posture. This book tells the story of a seagull who longs to fly: flying is not a tool for survival, nor for any other purpose, but merely for the pure joy of flying itself. It elucidates how to live a life in the happiest way.
