Features: Children's literature is a genre of writing specifically created to attract and enhance the reading and appreciation needs of young people. Due to the long-lasting influence of feudal society, children were often neglected, and literary works created intentionally for them were scarce. For a long time, only folk songs, stories, and legends were passed down orally among children, becoming spiritual nourishment that nurtured their young minds, guided them to open their eyes to the world, and enriched their wisdom and courage. We hope that The Century of Children's Literature Masterpieces becomes every child's favorite! The Century of Children's Literature Masterpieces selects the finest works from various historical periods and is divided into five volumes: Children's Novels (Volume 1 and 2), Fairy Tales, Fables, Poetry, and Science and Literature. The format of each volume is as follows: After each selected work, an "Appreciation" is provided, with approximately 500–1,000 words. The appreciation primarily introduces the publication date and historical context of the work, the author's background, and focuses on exploring the ideological depth and artistic achievements. We have targeted the readers of this series as young students aged 11–12 to 15–16, specifically upper elementary and middle school students. It can also serve as a reference book for teachers and parents when educating children. During the selection process, omissions and misjudgments may have occurred, and the appreciation texts may also contain biases. We sincerely hope for the criticism and corrections of readers.
