Features: Since birth, people step onto the vast stage of society. Some perform clumsily, while others perform brilliantly. The smog of the metropolis ignites the dry firewood of desires in people's hearts like flames, and amidst the red lights and wine, people freely vent their affections. Humans are born with desires, and desires cannot be said to be good or bad. Behind the cable TV station, there is another stage that burns with all kinds of desires. Shen Hao, Liu Daqi, and Yang Guoyi are three very close friends. Because they all like raising pigeons, they all have pigeon nicknames. However, "The Colorful Stage" is a arena of rampant desires and the pursuit of fame and fortune—rivalry between directors, swindling by advertisers, the self-interest of the entertainment circle, and the betrayal of friends and lovers driven by money. On this unique stage, they perform with spectacular brilliance. As "The Colorful Stage" is about to close, the three good friends turn against each other over women and money. Yang Guoyi fails to save his beloved wife, as she cheats on him and has her face disfigured with a razor blade; although Liu Daqi gains both status and wealth, he dies unexpectedly in a car accident; it seems Shen Hao's ending is a bit better, as he takes revenge on his enemies and meets a tragic end with them. When all desires fade away, only true love reveals its eternal radiance.
