Features: Thirteen years after the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam, Major Zhao Jin returns to his hometown for a visit. The rapid river blocks his way home, but he coincidentally meets his long-lost comrade and childhood friend, Qian Yinghao and Guo Jinku. Past events are like smoke, Qian Yinghao, a natural-born soldier, clever and heroic, becomes a victim of the enemy's bullets without firing a single shot; Guo Jinku returns to his hometown after the war, impoverished and still immersed in the life of the military camp. The dialogue between humans and ghosts reveals the differences and confusion between the realms of the living and the dead, reality and the past.
