Features: Chinese Wushu is renowned for its long history, rich content, and numerous schools. According to the survey and statistics conducted by the national Wushu exploration and organization project, which concluded in 1986, there are 129 distinct Wushu styles in China that have a clear lineage, well-defined principles, unique styles, and self-contained systems. To revitalize these ancient styles, better serve the national fitness program, and create conditions for Wushu to spread globally, the State General Administration of Sport, Wushu Management Center, and Wushu Research Institute began a systematic study and organization of some widely practiced and influential Wushu styles in 1995. Based on this, they created the series of official routines. The first batch of styles included in this systematic research and organization includes: Xingyi Quan, Bagua Zhang, Nanquan, Shaolin Quan, Taijiquan, Piguazhang, Baguazhou, Tongbi Quan, and Mantis Quan, among others.
