Biography of Liang Qichao

Author: Wu Qichang
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2004-06-01
Features: He is a young man with blood, tears, and ambition, full of wounds from the depths of darkness and hell. He had repeatedly imagined jumping into the sea to die like Chen Tianhua. But he firmly believed that China would not perish, so even though he was in complete despair, he never stopped struggling and fighting. If Sun Yat-sen was the pioneer of the democratic revolution, then Liang Qichao was the pioneer of democratic thought. He risked his life to champion democratic republicanism, and his achievements were no less than those of the military. He himself acknowledged the contributions of "Chen Sheng and Wu Guang," but the public opinion of later generations would agree that his hard work, courage, spirit, and influence were ten thousand times greater than those of Chen Sheng and Wu Guang.
Mr. Wu Qichang, the author, was a distinguished disciple of scholars such as Wang Guowei and Liang Qichao. Adhering to the spirit of "not taking a break until the victory of the Anti-Japanese War," he wrote "The Biography of Liang Qichao" even while suffering from severe hemoptysis. He remained determined, working tirelessly with the principles of "responsibility, accuracy, and dedication" unwaveringly, ultimately completing this heart-wrenching masterpiece. Due to his long-term physical decline, he fell ill and could no longer recover, leaving the first part of the "Biography of Liang Qichao" as his final work. This book holds great significance.
