Features: "Physiology" is an important basic medical course, a required course for students in medical schools. Similar to most medical schools in China, our university adopts the fifth edition of the national planned textbook "Physiology" as the teaching material for the Physiology course. We have compiled this "Physiology Outline" as a reference book for students majoring in clinical medicine, basic medicine, preventive medicine, forensic medicine, and nursing at our university, aiming to help them learn physiology well and effectively utilize the fifth edition textbook. This book is organized in chapter order, consisting of 12 chapters, with chapter titles and arrangement sequence identical to those of the fifth edition textbook. Each chapter begins with learning objectives. The learning objectives are divided into three levels: mastery, familiarity, and understanding. The content requiring mastery is the core material, accounting for 70%-80% of the total content. The content requiring familiarity is the secondary important material, making up about 20%, while the content requiring understanding is the general material, accounting for about 10%. Each chapter concludes with professional English vocabulary and review questions. The professional English vocabulary is also divided into three levels, with indicating words that require mastery, numbering about 500 and accounting for approximately 50% of the total vocabulary. Words marked with require familiarity, numbering about 300 and accounting for approximately 30%. The main part of this book consists of section-by-section learning content. Based on the current teaching (situation) at our university, we have extracted and condensed the essential and important basic content from the fifth edition textbook that is suitable for students in clinical medicine, basic medicine, preventive medicine, forensic medicine, and nursing at our university.
