To guide children in learning the basic techniques of Chinese ink landscape painting, we have compiled a series of thematic books, including "Guilin Landscapes," "Famous Gardens in Beijing," and "Shanxi Scenery." Chinese ink landscape painting has been a timeless and cherished subject among generations of Chinese painters and art enthusiasts. To further inspire children's interest in painting landscapes and to guide them in capturing the magnificent scenery of our country using Chinese ink painting techniques while traveling or observing the beauty of nature, we have invited contemporary young and middle-aged painters to compile thematic series, including the book "Shanxi Scenery." This book not only includes step-by-step instructions for painting mountains, rocks, trees, clear springs, and flowing water but also provides techniques for depicting extraordinary peaks, along with creative references. It is rich in content and beautifully illustrated. It will help children grasp the basics of painting scenic landscapes and cultivate their moral character and artistic sensibilities. We hope this series will benefit children's painting, sketching, and creative abilities, and that they can use their brushes to make our world more vibrant and colorful as they observe and appreciate famous mountains, rivers, and gardens.
