Features: Fan Zhongyan, styled Xiwen, was posthumously honored as "Wenzheng." According to the ceremonial system of posthumous titles in the Song Dynasty, "moral and erudite in breadth is called Wen, governing the heavens and earth is called Wen, and being respected by both internal and external guests is called Zheng." Wenzheng was the highest posthumous title for a minister. Zhongyan was from Wu County, Suzhou. However, his ancestral home was not in Wu County, Suzhou.
