Features: A Series of Books on National Musical Instruments. The pipa is a traditional Chinese national musical instrument. There are more and more people learning the pipa now, but they often struggle to find suitable teaching materials. In view of this, the author, based on their own learning and performing experience, has drawn inspiration from the excellent work of predecessors and peers, and has launched this "Pipa Beginner's Tutorial," hoping it can become a good teacher and companion for all pipa enthusiasts. The content of this book is targeted at beginner and intermediate players, with well-organized chapters, divided into three main parts: "Introduction to the Pipa" introduces the history of the pipa, the structure of the instrument, as well as the tools and conditions required for playing. "Left and Right Hand Techniques" provides detailed explanations of the playing techniques of both hands in separate chapters. Each technique is accompanied by numerous practice pieces, along with practice instructions for reference. "Pipar Music and Detailed Explanations" selects representative pieces for levels 1-6, in line with the current requirements of amateur music exams, and supplements other excellent works to ensure comprehensiveness. Each piece is followed by a background introduction and performance tips for reference.
