But her sister-in-law—Rebeccah Puddle-Duck—was different. She was happy to let others hatch eggs for her. She said, "I don't have the patience to sit on an egg for twenty-eight days. Jemima, you certainly don't have that patience either! You'll let the eggs get cold, won't you?"
Jemima Puddle-Duck quacked and argued, "I really want to hatch my own eggs. I'll hatch them all myself!"
Her sister-in-law, Mrs. Rebeccah Puddle-Duck, was perfectly willing to leave the hatching to someone else—
"I don't have the patience to sit on an egg for twenty-eight days; and no more have you, Jemima. You would let them get cold; you know you would!"
"I wish to hatch my own eggs; I will hatch them all by myself," quacked Jemima Puddle-Duck.
