Features: The Fast Track Chinese divides daily-life expressions into 15 topics (Greetings and Introductions, School Life, Asking for Directions and Travel, Time and Dates, Transportation, At the Hotel, Visiting and Being a Guest, Shopping, Seasons and Weather, Health and Medical Care, Food and Dining, Discussing Issues, Hobbies and Interests, Trade, Learning Chinese). Each lesson focuses on a part of the expressions related to one topic. The entire set consists of three volumes, with 15 lessons per volume, totaling 45 lessons in the set. Each volume forms a complete cycle. The 15 lessons in each volume cover the basic content of the 15 topics. Once mastered, they enable simple Chinese communication. The next two volumes gradually expand on this foundation, enriching and deepening each topic. The third volume also intentionally incorporates some business and trade-related expressions to enhance the practicality of the book. Each volume includes five sections: Basic Sentence Patterns, Texts, Notes, Exercises, and New Words. The texts primarily use dialogue form to train listening and speaking skills; most texts also include short narrative passages to train reading and comprehension skills. All texts are accompanied by English translations. The dialogue form in all three volumes' texts and the narrative passages in the first volume are annotated with Pinyin. The texts and sentence patterns are provided with concise and practical notes to explain grammar. Each lesson includes 10 sentence patterns and about 20 new words, totaling 450 sentence patterns and approximately 900 new words across the three volumes.
