Features: This examination syllabus is divided into nine levels. Levels and 2 are for beginners; Levels 4, 5, and 6 are for intermediate learners; Levels 7 and 8 are for advanced learners. After Level 9, our conservatory offers an additional Performance Diploma level, which is higher than the highest level set by all domestic examination institutions and reaches a performance level suitable for professional development.
The writing of this examination syllabus has the following characteristics:
1. Each level includes prescribed etudes for examination, progressing from simple to complex, systematically training the conventional techniques of the flute and helping candidates build a solid foundation. The repertoire in the beginner stage consists of folk songs, short pieces, and parts for small ensembles; while the intermediate to advanced stages feature flute solos in various styles.
2. A combination of practicality and (interest). The etudes are written and selected primarily to meet the needs of training various flute techniques, while also considering the boredom learners may feel during practice. Therefore, most etudes have melodic qualities, making them more effective when performed as short pieces or mini-musics.
3. Modern works are incorporated into the advanced training stage. Candidates can expand their artistic horizons, understand the development of the flute, and enrich and broaden their learning, better adapting to modern society's needs.
4. For the repertoire section, each piece includes performance suggestions, explaining the technical key points of different styles, so that candidates can more accurately convey the basic content required by the pieces within limited practice time.
We hope that flute learners will continue to work hard, be proactive, and successfully pass all levels of examinations. May they also achieve greater accomplishments in their future flute studies.
