1. This textbook includes three parts: Basic Knowledge of Accordion Playing, Unit Exercises and Song Accompaniment, and Selected Solo and Ensemble Pieces. The Unit Exercises section is arranged in a lesson-by-lesson format.
2. The Unit Exercises are designed and organized based on the characteristics of music teaching in secondary normal schools. Since students who take accordion as an elective course generally have some piano (or accordion) playing foundation, Units and are organized in sequence with left-hand exercises, while Units 3 and 4 are arranged in sequence with various basic playing techniques of the accordion.
3. Each unit includes song accompaniment, arrangement exercises, self-playing and singing, and transposition exercises, aiming to organically integrate knowledge and skill training with the improvement of accompaniment abilities. This is to cultivate students' practical abilities in teaching music in primary schools.
4. The selected solo and ensemble pieces in the latter part are suitable for secondary normal school students to play. They can be used as teaching content for elective courses or as performance pieces for extracurricular music activities.
