Features: 2004 Judicial Examination Advanced Guidance and Achievement Test. Since 2002, the Judicial Examination was designated as a qualification exam for specific legal professions. It has become a "test" in the eyes of the Chinese people and is widely watched by the world due to its high threshold (candidates must have a bachelor's degree or higher) and strict requirements (the pass rate was only 6.7% in 2002 and 10% in 2003). In the face of such a situation where everyone competes for a limited opportunity, choosing the right study material for effective review becomes a key factor in determining success. Advanced Guidance and Achievement Test is a comprehensive study guide for the Judicial Examination. The term "comprehensive" refers to its focus on explaining and analyzing exam-related content, supplemented by past exam questions to reinforce learning. High-quality practice questions are also included for achievement testing, aiming to achieve the best results through layered, three-dimensional review.
Advanced Guidance and Achievement Test is divided into six volumes: Jurisprudence·Legal History·Constitutional Law·Legal Ethics, Civil Law, Criminal Law, Administrative Law·Procedural Law, Commercial Law·Economic Law, and International Law. Each volume includes numerous tables for comparing and summarizing relevant content, making it clear and well-organized. The content is arranged with emphasis on key areas and clear priorities, reflecting the varying proportions of different legal branches in the exam.
The structure is as follows: For each legal branch, the book first outlines the key content, its exam significance, and review methods. It then details the knowledge system and exam point statistics, highlighting recurring points with horizontal lines to draw attention. Finally, achievement tests similar to past exam questions are provided at the end of each branch for self-assessment. For branches with extensive content, they are divided into chapters, each with multiple sections:
(1) [Knowledge Structure]: Lists each chapter's content in a structured format, clarifying the internal logic system to help students grasp the material holistically and build a knowledge framework.
(2) [Exam Point Statistics]: Analysis of past exam questions reveals a high repetition rate of key content. Statistical data on question points helps students focus their review effectively.
(3) [Key Memorization]: This is the core of the book, providing interpretations of all key points in the chapter. Concepts are tied to legal articles, integrating them into detailed explanations. This ensures students deeply understand and memorize legal articles while grasping concepts. Additionally, a "Note for Understanding" section highlights easily misunderstood, overlooked, or confused points, leaving no detail unaddressed.
(4) [Past Exam Examples]: Past exam questions are the most classic, reliable, and valuable for guidance and analysis. Therefore, questions from 1998–2003 are organized by exam points in each chapter as benchmarks to help students assess their mastery.
(5) [Comprehensive Problem Solutions]: Unselected choice questions and case analysis questions involving multiple chapter points are compiled together, helping students understand the exam's approach to comprehensive questions.
(6) [Achievement Test]: Fully aligns with the exam's question types for each legal branch, covering all required knowledge points from easy to difficult. Studying these tests enables students to learn broadly, apply knowledge flexibly, and self-assess effectively.
The predecessor of Advanced Guidance and Achievement Test was an internal correspondence learning textbook, jointly authored by professors, associate professors, and law doctors and masters from universities such as China University of Political Science and Law, Peking University, Renmin University of China, the School of International Studies, and Beijing Forestry University.
