Patient's question:
Doctor, the results of my 36-week check-up show that the left kidney of the fetus has a central collecting system separation, with a width of 5.8 mm. There is a liquid dark area in the posterior horn of the fetal lateral ventricle, measuring 8.8 mm. There is also a liquid dark area in the anterior horn of the fetal lateral ventricle. The posterior fossa of the fetus shows a liquid dark area, measuring 6.7 mm. Could you please tell me if this is a concern?First follow-up question: (2007-9-12 3:11:59) Thank you for your advice earlier. But would a normal child have such a condition? The fetal biparietal diameter is 96 mm. Is there any relationship between this and the visible liquid dark area in the lateral ventricle? Could this condition affect the fetus?
Second follow-up question:
Doctor's answer:
Hello! It's not a big deal, as the effusion is no more than 10 millimeters, which is not a serious issue.
