Six-month-old baby has diarrhea and white stools

Patient's question:

My baby has white, watery bowel movements. Yesterday it was dry, and today it's still loose with green mucus. What should I do? I've been giving medicine for two days, but there's no improvement. I wonder if it's because I changed the milk. Sometimes it's like scrambled eggs.

Doctor's answer:

Analysis of the Condition: Pediatric diarrhea is a common and frequently occurring gastrointestinal disease characterized by diarrhea, caused by various etiologies. Treatment for this condition should involve differentiating between cold and heat, examining for deficiency and excess, promoting digestion and astringency, regulating the spleen and stomach, analyzing the underlying causes for targeted treatment, and enhancing therapeutic efficacy.
