Features: What is the philosophical foundation of Deng Xiaoping Theory? There are some differing opinions in China's theoretical circles. This book adopts a method of tracing back, primarily based on the intellectual system of Deng Xiaoping Theory provided in the report of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, to explore the philosophical thoughts it contains. It points out that the philosophical foundation of Deng Xiaoping Theory is dialectical materialism and historical materialism, or more accurately, dialectical materialism and historical materialism developed in practice. At the end of the book, some views are also proposed on the inspiration of Deng Xiaoping Theory for constructing a new form of Marxist philosophy in the 21st century.
