Patient's question:
NoDoctor's answer:
If intracranial cysts are asymptomatic, there is no need to rush into surgery. However, follow-up is necessary, and dynamic intracranial pressure monitoring for 48-72 hours can be performed. If intracranial pressure increases or abnormal waveforms appear, surgical treatment is recommended. Some cases may remain stable for life or even naturally disappear, and those discovered incidentally due to other diseases can also be temporarily spared surgery. The only exception is for children, where it is generally advised to surgically remove the cyst once discovered, especially temporal lobe cysts, to prevent them from obstructing brain development and function.
