Recurrent nephrotic syndrome?

Patient's question:

Last year, after giving birth to my child, I didn't recover quickly. Later, I was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome. I took hormone medication for more than a year. Good news! After stopping the medication for five months, it has now recurred. I'm not afraid of taking medicine, but how can I prevent it from recurring? If it keeps recurring like this, will the next step be uremia? Please advise. Thank you sincerely!

Doctor's answer:

If you continue to take hormones and combine them with traditional Chinese medicine treatment, it may reduce the likelihood of recurrence. Nephrotic syndrome can progress to uremia, but this is not common. The doctors here answer questions in their spare time.
