Features: The Marx-Engels Collected Works (Second Edition) was compiled by the Translation and Compilation Bureau of the Works of Marx, Engels, Lenin, and Stalin under the decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The Marx-Engels Collected Works is a comprehensive collection of the entire writings of the founders of Marxism, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. It was published from 1956 to 1985, comprising 50 volumes. The Second Edition of the Marx-Engels Collected Works is based on the First Edition and was re-edited and translated according to the Historical-Critical Edition of the Marx-Engels Collected Works and the German edition. The collection includes some works not included in the First Edition, removes materials mistakenly included in the First Edition that were not written by Marx and Engels, and translates and compiles all works (except for a few languages) according to the original texts. The collection is divided into four parts: Volumes 1-29 are the Works volumes, Volumes 30-45 are the Capital and Manuscripts volumes, Volumes 46-59 are the Correspondence volumes, and Volumes 60 and later are the Notes volumes. Compared to the First Edition, the number of documents and the total word count have increased significantly. Each volume of the collection includes a Preface that introduces the background and main content of the included documents. At the end of each volume, reference materials such as annotations on political documents, name indexes, and document indexes are provided.
