Features: The chapter design of this book is primarily centered around the theoretical hot issues in the study of contemporary capitalism in Western academia. The theoretical logical relationship between several major theoretical issues forms an organic connection between the chapters of this book. Chapter 1 traces the changes in capitalist production methods, capital accumulation strategies, and macroeconomic control models from the post-WWII era to the 1980s, providing a necessary historical foundation for the study of contemporary capitalism. Chapter 2, which compares the Rhine Capitalist model with the New American model, further deepens the content of the previous chapter. One of the key characteristics of capitalism in the post-Fordist era is capital globalization, so Chapter 3 is dedicated to a detailed discussion of this issue, which is the focus of this book. Chapter 5 discusses the labor social crisis, Chapter 6 the welfare state crisis, and Chapter 7 the party political crisis, all of which involve the widespread crisis phenomena of capitalism in the era of globalization. These crises themselves are two negative consequences of capital globalization. The study of these two issues actually touches upon the development trends and prospects of contemporary capitalism.
