How to treat pediatric asthma?

Patient's question:

My son is 4 years old. At the end of last year, he had two episodes of bronchitis with asthma. In May of this year, he developed bronchial asthma again due to coughing and was hospitalized for treatment for a week before being discharged. However, two days later, he started coughing again, and it has been intermittent ever since. I don't know how to treat it.

Doctor's answer:

Hello! First of all, I wish your child a speedy recovery! Let me talk to you about the issue of "asthma." Asthma is caused by allergic reactions, leading to bronchial spasm, mucosal edema, and increased secretions. Clinically, it is characterized by episodic dyspnea, cough, sputum production, and wheezing. The dietary therapy can enhance the constitution of patients with bronchial asthma and reduce or prevent the recurrence of asthma.
"Is there any medicine without side effects," here are a few successful dietary remedies for curing "asthma":
1) Take one young hen, kill and clean it, slice 150 grams of ginger, and add 10 grams of loofah fibers into the hen's cavity. Tie it with a thread, season with oil, salt, and other condiments, and stew the soup. Consume the hen and soup over three days (children should take it over five days). For mild cases, one hen is sufficient; for severe cases, three hens are needed. Avoid spicy food, leeks, and mutton.
2) Roast 250 grams of dried earthworms until yellow, grind them into powder, and mix with sugar water for consumption. Take 10 grams (about half a tablespoon) twice a day. The condition will be cured after completion. Avoid spicy foods.
3) Take 500 grams of purple-skinned garlic, peel and clean it, then mix it with 200 grams of rock sugar in a clean, oil-free sand pot. Add water until it slightly exceeds the surface of the garlic. Boil the water and simmer the garlic into a porridge-like consistency with low heat. After cooling, take one tablespoon in the morning and evening. Continue taking it until the condition improves.
4) Mix 500 grams of tofu, 60 grams of malt sugar, and one cup of fresh radish juice, then boil and divide into two servings per day. This treats bronchial asthma.
5) Take 100 grams of fresh sheep bile and 250 grams of honey, mix them, and steam in a pot for two hours. Take one tablespoon in the morning and evening. Alternatively, dry the sheep bile, grind it into powder, and take 1 gram three times a day. This treats asthma.
6) Use 250 grams of pig lungs, 12 grams of sweet almonds, and 2 spoons of ginger juice. Clean the pig lungs, cut them into pieces, and clean the sweet almonds. Place the lungs and almonds in an aluminum pot with water and cook together. When nearly cooked, add ginger juice and a small amount of salt. Eat the lungs and drink the soup. This warms the lungs, relieves cough, and reduces phlegm. It is suitable for elderly patients with chronic bronchitis, cold deficiency asthma, white phlegm, and constipation.
