A child has bronchitis, how should it be treated?

Patient's question:

Our child has been coughing very severely for the past two days. Even if they drink something cold, the coughing doesn't stop, and sometimes they experience wheezing. After checking at the hospital, they were diagnosed with tracheitis. How should it be treated?

Doctor's answer:

Hello, common users have anticholinergic drugs, such as ipratropium bromide, β receptor agonists, such as salbutamol or terbutaline, administered via a metered-dose inhaler, or orally with terbutaline or clenbuterol. Theophylline-class drugs, such as oral aminophylline, or oral theophylline controlled-release tablets (Symbicort), or oral theophylline sustained-release tablets (Sulfamethoxazole). Severe cases can use diluted aminophylline for intravenous infusion, or can be treated by inhaling ipratropium bromide or salbutamol solution through a nebulizer.
