Features: This book contains nearly 900 illustrations and is organized by organ systems such as the musculoskeletal system, digestive system, respiratory system, urogenital system, cardiovascular system, sensory organs, endocrine system, and nervous system. The content primarily follows the teaching syllabus for human anatomy in higher and secondary medical schools, while also catering to the needs of other disciplines. At the end of the book, there is a bilingual glossary of common anatomical terms (Chinese-English) for reference. Human anatomy is the science of studying the form and structure of the human body, serving as the foundation for medical students and healthcare professionals to learn other basic and clinical medical courses. Human anatomy atlases are reference tools for mastering anatomical knowledge. The New Edition of Human Anatomy Atlas is compiled based on the teaching syllabus of higher and secondary medical schools nationwide, while also considering the needs of other disciplines. In terms of presentation, it primarily uses colored and monochrome illustrations, supplemented by color and line drawings, aiming for simplicity, clarity, and cost-effectiveness. Since its publication in 1988, this atlas has sold a cumulative 300,000 copies and has been widely welcomed by medical students and healthcare professionals, serving as a textbook for anatomy in many medical schools. In 1994, it won the Second National Higher Medical Education Excellent Textbook Award from the Ministry of Health. In 1990, the atlas was translated into Japanese and published in Japan. With the deepening of medical education reform and the expansion of the seven-year medical education program, this revision adjusts and removes content that is not aligned with the new textbook, while appropriately adding new content reflecting recent advancements in anatomy. All original illustrations have been processed and revised using computer image processing technology to enhance their realism and highlight structural features. New illustrations have been added, and the captions and annotations have been relabeled. Anatomical terms are based on the Glossary of Human Anatomy Terms published by the National Committee on Terms in Science in 1991, ensuring greater standardization. The bilingual glossary has been expanded to facilitate readers' learning and mastery of English anatomical terms and medical-related terminology. The book's format has been enlarged to better showcase the three-dimensional structure and spatial relationships of the human body. Given the ongoing medical education reform, the development of anatomy, and the limitations of our drawing capabilities, despite the atlas having been tested over time and in practical applications, there may still be shortcomings or errors. We hope readers will provide valuable feedback to serve as a reference for future revisions.
