Features: During the author's study period, China's interior decoration design industry was in its early stages of development, with rendering techniques primarily relying on traditional hand-drawing, which was relatively realistic. Nearly 20 years later, China's decorative design industry has experienced rapid growth, and to date, the forms of rendering have formed a cycle with the initial stage. However, in terms of significance, role, and value, there are significant differences. Today's hand-drawn renderings have a broader scope of application and more flexible expression methods. The author has targeted this point, aligning with the current needs of the design field, and based on the characteristics of renderings, adopted diverse forms and techniques. With solid foundational knowledge and accumulated experience, combined with the current needs of decorative design, the author has innovated while maintaining consistency with traditional methods, creating variations, and compiled this book. The major feature of this book is its practical approach, categorizing techniques, combining traditional and modern methods, with clear priorities, and emphasizing foundational training in techniques. Starting from the basic training of watercolor to the expressive painting methods of light wash, the book classifies renderings into five elements. From sketching and outlining to overall rendering, it forms a relatively complete theory, systematically explaining the essence of renderings, with both theoretical and practical value.
