Xiang Sen, who loves solving mysteries and detective cases, and Qin Xinyu both feel that Lin Rou’s death is suspicious. Qin Xinyu works as a private secretary at Jingjiang Villa No. 3. Her employer, Gu Naochao, has businesses spread across Southeast Asia and has been recovering from a stroke at the villa, living with his wife Hao Ru and nurse Li Ling. Gu Naochao’s son, Gu Hongye, who was born from his previous marriage, returns from abroad. The physically disabled Gu Hongye is lonely inside but rebellious on the outside, and his return brings no peace to the Gu family.
Xiang Sen’s girlfriend, Ye Yan, notices that Xiang Sen and Qin Xinyu have mutual feelings for each other. Xiang Sen promises her that he will love her forever.
