Publish Date: 2004-03-01
Features: This book is a revision of the original "Descriptive Geometry" and "Mechanical Drawing" published by Chengdu University of Science and Technology in 1989. This revision was based on the "Basic Requirements for the Teaching of Descriptive Geometry and Mechanical Drawing in Higher Vocational Schools" and the "Recommendations for Reforming the Content and System of Engineering Descriptive Geometry and Computer Drawing Courses" proposed by the Teaching Guidance Committee for Engineering Drawing Courses in Higher Vocational Schools. It has been renamed as "Mechanical Drawing." The book is divided into 20 chapters, presented in two volumes, and covers four parts: Descriptive Geometry, Drawing Fundamentals, Mechanical Drawing, and Basic Computer Drawing.
The Descriptive Geometry section includes: Basic knowledge of projection, projection of points, lines, and planes, relative positions of lines and planes, planes and planes, transformation, projection of basic geometric solids, intersection of planes and solids, intersection of solids, composite solids, and isometric drawings.
The Drawing Fundamentals section includes: Basic knowledge of drawing, basic provisions of the "National Standard Technical Drawing," basic requirements for drafting and freehand drawing, and the drawing and reading of assembly drawings.
The Mechanical Drawing section includes: Basic provisions of the "National Standard Mechanical Drawing," standard parts and commonly used parts, technical requirements for drawing and reading of part drawings, and the drawing and reading of assembly drawings.
The Basic Computer Drawing section includes: Introduction to computer drawing, basic knowledge of using AutoCAD 2002 software, and specific applications in mechanical drawing.
The appendices of this book excerpt common national standards on threads and threaded fasteners, keys and pins, rolling bearings, materials and heat treatment, and limits, fits, and tolerances.
This book can be used as a textbook for mechanical drawing courses in mechanical and near-mechanical disciplines at higher vocational schools, and it can also serve as a reference for teachers, students, and engineering technicians in engineering-related fields.
