After in-depth research and repeated deliberation, in response to the needs of specialists, the People's Medical Publishing House has assembled a strong writing team of experienced clinical physicians and pharmacists from institutions such as the Institute of Materia Medica of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, General Hospital of Air Force Command of the People's Liberation Army, the 401st Hospital of the People's Liberation Army, Qingdao Municipal Hospital, Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University Medical College, and Qingdao Haici Hospital to compile the "Series of Rational Drug Use for Specialists." This series aims to guide specialists in clinical rational drug use, thereby ensuring the safety and efficacy of specialized clinical drug use, improving medical service levels and quality, and promoting the development of specialized medicine. The series consists of 13 volumes (see back cover for specific titles) and covers nearly all major clinical specialties. The content includes drugs required for the treatment of all diseases and their complications in specialized fields, with a particular emphasis on the principles and treatment regimens for specific diseases. In the sections on individual drugs, greater focus is placed on introducing the thinking, methods, experience, and clinical evaluation of rational drug use. It is hoped that the publication of this series will play a positive role in guiding specialists in the scientific and rational application of drug therapy to treat diseases, improving the clinical service levels and quality of specialized medicine in China. This book, "Rational Drug Use for Infectious Diseases," is one of the volumes in the "Series of Rational Drug Use for Specialists." According to the overall writing requirements of the series, it primarily includes anti-infective drugs that have been launched domestically and internationally in recent years, systematically reflecting the full scope of anti-infective drugs. It introduces the names, pharmacokinetics, pharmacological effects, clinical applications, dosage and administration, adverse reactions and prevention/treatment, drug interactions, clinical evaluation, and dosage forms of currently used antimicrobial drugs. By leveraging the conclusions of clinical pharmacology and evidence-based medicine, it provides references and guidance for clinicians and pharmacists on the frontline of clinical treatment, promoting scientific and rational drug use in clinical practice.
