Features: Writing in Chinese while living overseas is not about expressing nostalgia or homesickness, but about climbing a new mountain, surveying the surrounding peaks, and gradually clarifying one's position and direction in life. Although living in the United States, joys and sorrows are not bound by national or regional borders: I laugh when happy, worry when troubled, debate global affairs or elaborate on theories when enlightened, and act foolishly when confused. I often write down these feelings and insights, sending them to newspapers for publication, engaging in exchanges with both known and unknown readers about the experiences of living. Recently, I reread those accumulated articles, and they surprised me: amidst the busy days in the United States, I had experienced such rich emotional fluctuations and mental activities. Each one felt like a dear friend, answering me in different voices, "Why did you come to the United States?" Therefore, I selected eighty of these articles, compiled them into this book, and presented it as a of a chapter in life.
