Features: The book "General Financial Accounting Theory" can be summarized in four words: "appropriate" and "suitable." "Appropriate," in my opinion, it conforms to the style of the textbook. Following the structural system of the textbook, it elaborates appropriately and objectively on the necessary selection of relevant literature, presenting the authors' viewpoints and opinions directly without or with minimal judgment. "Suitable" This book is not a general "Accounting Theory" textbook but a "Financial Accounting Theory" textbook. As an undergraduate textbook, offering a course on "Financial Accounting Theory" is sufficient, as other accounting theories are still immature. Even for "Financial Accounting Theory," how it should be structured remains a matter of differing opinions. The book is titled "General Financial Accounting Theory," and I believe this is for two reasons: first, it includes financial accounting standards themselves; second, it encompasses the design of enterprise financial accounting systems, so there is no need to set up a separate course on accounting system design, aligning with the current trend of gradually reducing the number of specialized course hours. At the same time, it also highlights the requirement for undergraduate accounting textbooks to focus primarily on applied accounting theory. From this perspective, the book is also an innovation, and it awaits the recognition and acceptance of a broad readership.
