Features: The format of this book is as follows:
1. After careful analysis and organization, we have categorized 70 poems into six themes: Landscape, Pastoral, Ode to Objects, Parting, Frontier, and Self-Reflection. Among these 70 poems, there are two ci poems: Zhang Zhihe's "Fisherman's Song" (White egrets fly before the West Ridge Mountain) and Liu Yuxi's "Rippling Sands" (Nine-bend Yellow River, ten thousand miles of sand). Due to their limited number and the fact that ci poetry is broadly considered a form of poetry, we have included them in the Landscape category based on theme. Please note this.
2. Each poem includes three main parts: annotations on key words, a full translation, and a literary appreciation. For authors who appear for the first time in the book, we provide concise and clear introductions based on the Primary School Chinese Language Teaching Syllabus. In the literary appreciation section, we strive to use lively language suitable for primary school students.
3. To help students grasp the emergence and development of each category of poetry from a literary history perspective, as well as the position of each poem in literary history, we have provided comprehensive introductory guides before each category.
4. To help students more vividly experience the artistic conception of the poems, we have selected eight works with beautiful and vivid imagery, recreated them, and illustrated eight color images for the readers' enjoyment.
5. To inspire students' imagination and enhance the book's interest and artistic appeal, we have selected one story-rich poem from each category, based on its content and creative background, and adapted it into a comic story for everyone to enjoy.
