The earliest origin of Zhiguang Zen Cards is said to be the 64 mystical and mysterious murals at Huanglu Temple. The author of the murals was the eminent monk Master Zhiguang. Master Zhiguang was proficient in Buddhist and I Ching principles and was also skilled in painting. He embedded 50 years of cultivation and his insights into the mysteries of life's causes and effects into the 64 mysterious murals, which the positions of the 64 hexagrams in the I Ching. Each painting contains both an exquisite interpretation of the I Ching and an elucidation of Zen principles, as well as the mysterious power to guide one out of life's.
