An editorial committee composed of over ten scholars from the domestic Dunhuang Studies community provided supplementary and revision suggestions for the book. It systematically introduces a group of renowned Chinese and foreign Dunhuang scholars. The book includes 29 biographies of deceased Dunhuang scholars, with 10 from China, 9 from Japan, and 10 from Western countries.
