Features: The Second Plenary Session of the Ninth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. It opened in Lushan on August 23, 1970, and concluded successfully on September 6. During and around this session, the conspiracy of the Lin Biao counter-revolutionary group to usurp power was exposed relatively fully. Chairman Mao Zedong promptly identified and dealt a severe blow to it. I personally experienced the process before and after this session, and some events were related to me personally. Therefore, I have written about what I know regarding the period before, during, and after this session, enabling readers to gain a more comprehensive understanding of this historical period. It also holds some reference value for the Party history department and historians. For this purpose, I wrote the book "The Struggle Between Mao Zedong and the Lin Biao Counter-Revolutionary Group." During the mid-term of what was hailed as the "Historically Unprecedented" "Revolution Led by Mao Zedong," a major historical event that shocked the world occurred—Mao Zedong crushed the Lin Biao counter-revolutionary group. Comrade Wang Dongxing worked long-term beside Chairman Mao Zedong, personally experiencing the struggle between Mao Zedong and the Lin Biao counter-revolutionary group before and after the Ninth Plenary Session of the Party's Central Committee. He is one of the witnesses of this thrilling struggle. With his personal experiences and reliable materials, he has revealed the origins and developments of this struggle, truly recreating the original state of that historical period, leaving behind a precious historical record.
